Welcome to our help center. At Balloons4You, we pride ourselves on being a leading New Zealand-based balloon specialist. To ensure your order goes perfectly, we have compiled this guide covering our ordering process, shipping timelines across NZ, and account management.

1. Pre-Order Questions

Are you a New Zealand–based company?

Yes. Balloons4You is a New Zealand–based business, and all orders are dispatched from within New Zealand.

Are your products shipped from New Zealand or overseas?

All products are shipped from our New Zealand Auckland warehouse to ensure fast and reliable delivery.

If I place an order now, when will I receive it?

Orders placed after 10:00 AM will be dispatched the next working day.
We use NZ Post Overnight Courier, and delivery usually takes 1–2 working days after dispatch.
Please note that rural addresses may take longer.

Is there a cut-off time for same-day dispatch?

Yes. Orders placed before 10:00 am on business days are usually dispatched the same day.

Do you accept last-minute or urgent orders?

Our website has a WhatsApp online chat. Please contact our customer service team if you have an urgent order.
Please note that urgent orders can only be processed after confirmation from our customer service team, and you must provide your order number before the order can be actioned.
We recommend communicating fully with our customer service team to ensure everything is arranged correctly

Do you have a physical store? Is pick-up available?

We are an online-only store and do not have a showroom.
The products shown in the photos are exactly what you will receive, and all purchases are made online.
We offer contactless pick-up in Millwater, Silverdale.
To avoid customers arriving before their order is ready, the full pick-up address will be emailed to you once your order has been completed and packed.

2. Ordering & Account Questions

Do I need to create an account to place an order?

Customers do not need to create an account to shop on our website.
Once your order is completed, we will contact you via email with all order details.
If you have an urgent enquiry, you can also message us on WhatsApp.

Will I receive an order confirmation email?

Yes — once you have placed your order, you will receive an order confirmation email from Balloons4You.
Please make sure you enter the correct email address when checking out.
If you do not receive the confirmation email within 1 hour, please contact us via WhatsApp or email.

How can I check the status of my order?

If you haven’t received any follow-up emails regarding your order within 2 working days, please email us by replying to your order confirmation email.

Can I change my order after placing it?

Can I cancel an order once it has been placed?

Yes, you can cancel your order.
If the order has not been dispatched, the shipping fee can be refunded.
If the order has already been dispatched, the shipping fee cannot be refunded, as NZ Post has already provided the delivery service.
Please note that any credit card processing fees cannot be refunded if the cancellation is due to a change of mind.

3. Payment & Security

What payment methods do you accept?

Our website accepts credit card payments and bank transfers at checkout.
Credit card payments are processed via Stripe Payments.
Bank transfers are processed via POLi Payments.

Do you support Afterpay or instalment payments?

We do not accept Afterpay or instalment payment options.

Will my personal information be stored or shared?

POLi Payments and Stripe Payments handle your personal bank information, but our website only receives confirmation of successful payment and does not store any of your payment details.

4. Shipping & Delivery

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver nationwide within New Zealand only; we do not ship internationally.

How long does delivery usually take?

We use NZ Post Overnight Service. While it is an overnight service, delivery usually takes 1–2 working days.

Do you deliver on weekends or public holidays?

As NZ Post does not collect on weekends or public holidays, we do not dispatch orders on weekends or public holidays.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping within New Zealand (including rural addresses) is $7.50. Please note that rural deliveries may take longer.
For express shipping to rural addresses, the cost is $12.50.

Can I track my order?

On the day after your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking email from NZ Post or from us.
If you do not receive any tracking information, please contact us as soon as possible via email or WhatsApp.

What happens if my delivery is delayed?

First, please check whether we have sent you a tracking email.
If you have received it, please contact NZ Post directly for delivery issues.
If you have not received it, please contact us.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged?

Please contact us, and we will guide you on the next steps.

5. Returns, Exchanges & After-Sales Support

Can I return items if I change my mind?

We accept returns within 7 days of receipt as long as the items are in their original packaging and undamaged.
Please note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

What is the return process?

Please contact our customer service team, and we will assist you with your return.
We will provide you with the return address, and once we receive and inspect the items, we will issue your refund.

What should I do if I receive the wrong item?

Please contact our customer service team, we will send a new one to you

Foil balloons return & refund

When inflating foil balloons, they must be filled following the correct procedure—starting from the balloon’s valve or designated inlet.
If the balloon is damaged due to incorrect handling or improper inflation, we cannot offer a refund

6. Product-Related Questions

Are the balloons shipped inflated or uninflated?

All our balloons are sold deflated. We do not provide inflation services.

Do you offer helium filling services?

We do not provide inflation services.However, we do sell small helium tanks designed especially for home parties.
Any unused helium can be stored and used again later — there’s no need to worry about leakage.
Helium is an inert gas, so it does not pose a fire or combustion risk

What is the difference between latex balloons and foil balloons?

Latex balloons are made from natural rubber latex. They are soft, stretchy, and biodegradable, making them ideal for organic balloon garlands and large decorations. However, they deflate faster, especially when filled with helium.
Foil balloons (also called mylar balloons) are made from a thin metallic material. They hold their shape well, last much longer when inflated, and are perfect for number balloons, letters, and themed designs. They are not biodegradable.
Please note that balloons float because the helium weight inside is more than the balloon itself.
As a result, some small foil balloons may not float when filled with helium.
If you’re unsure, please contact our customer service team before purchasing.

How long do balloons float once inflated?

Latex balloons filled with helium typically float for 8–12 hours. Using Hi-Float can extend this to 1–3 days.
Foil balloons filled with helium usually float for several days to up to a week or longer, depending on size and conditions.


Are balloons suitable for outdoor use?

Even the highest-quality balloons cannot withstand direct outdoor sunlight.
The hotter the weather, the more likely balloons are to expand and pop.
For this reason, we do not recommend using large quantities of balloons for outdoor events.

Does weather or temperature affect balloons?

The hotter the weather, the more likely balloons are to expand and pop.

Are balloons safe for children?

Balloons are safe, even if they burst suddenly.
However, balloons are not edible and must not be eaten.

How far in advance should I inflate the balloons?

We recommend preparing and inflating your balloons 1–2 hours in advance for the best results.
Foil balloons can be reinflated and reused.

Do you offer complete party decoration sets?

Yes — please look for “Party by Theme” on our homepage or in the main menu.

What if I’m not sure how to decorate? Do you offer advice?

Of course! Please feel free to contact us anytime via WhatsApp or email.

Can I place large orders for events or corporate functions?

About 60% of our customers’ orders are  for corporate events and meeting decorations.
Our products are perfectly suited for these occasions.

How far in advance should I place a large order?

Booking 2 weeks in advance is the best option.
While we usually have ample stock, in the rare case of shortages, we can transfer stock from other warehouses to fulfill your order.
